In 2018 NoosaCare’s DementiaLiving team put a call out to the Noosa community to create a “Dementia Friendly Community Advisory Board”.
The group was created to prepare our community to meet the needs of people with dementia and be a part of the dementia friendly movement across Australia.
Noosa Community Memory Support pack
The Boards First Project
A Dementia Friendly Memory Support Pack which provides vital information for people newly diagnosed with dementia and for their families. A diagnosis of dementia can be overwhelming. Obtaining accurate information and support will help you understand what to expect and make plans for the future. We hope the information and resources provided in the Memory Support Pack, along with the Dementia Priority Checklist will give you and your family direction during the early stages after diagnosis.
Aged Care Quality Standards
8 Individual Standards in One Document
Organisations providing Commonwealth subsidised aged care services are required to comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards). Organisations will be assessed and must be able to provide evidence of their compliance with and performance against the Quality Standards from 1 July 2019. The Quality Standards focus on outcomes for consumers and reflect the level of care and services the community can expect from organisations that provide Commonwealth subsidised aged care services. The Quality Standards are made up of eight individual standards, these can be downloaded below or for more information visit https://www.agedcarequality.gov.au/
